  • Half link install

My front drive chains are a little loose. And I can't figure out how to remove a full link and replace it with a half link. I know how to remove the master link. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks demo

You will need to grind the riveted ends from the link on one end of the chain then use a punch to knock it out. Before doing that I'd make sure it can use a half link removed by folding the chain up on the sprocket and see if it's possible to reconnect. I'm sure if you ask mr. YouTube you'll find the required info. Good luck.

Replace the chain it's cheap and you will have it apart to try and install the half anyway.

I have an avenger and my dealer told me to buy new chains. The half link gets too tight. I tried it and he was right. You can put a half link ( difficult) but your chain will be way too tight and it might break or cause bearing and axels problem
