    I've got the same issue however my engine is BEHIND me so it's less annoying. I do fully plan on a engine box with air ducts once I get my diesel in to quiet this beast down.

    I see you are on the "WEST COAST" where abouts are you at?

    Perhaps some good sound deadener like guys use on firewalls of cars an such all around inside the engine comp and underside of hood. maybe something like...
    Sound Dampening, Vibration Damping, Thermal Insulation for automotive applications - HUSHMAT.

    Love those ear muffs may have to get a set. However I'd more like something I can chat back and forth with another person. Like in a helo type setup for coms, and tie in a radio to that, but again...I digress...

    The sealling the shifters with rubber boots or some seal is a great idea.

    It is water cooled.
    We live just north of vancouver B.C. In a Little town called Powell River.
    The ear muffs would be great if they had a two way intercom built in with the radio. But then whey would be in the $200 range I bet.
