  • Old style Argo breaks

    Maybe someone can help I am stumped I cant get my breaks adjusted correctly on my early 80`s Argo. Possible someone can head me in the right direction I have searched found some good material but no good videos. I have had the Argo about 4 years every time I take it out I have to really pull back on the handle to turn at all this does not seem right to me

      Hi I had similar problem and managed to get it better by adjusting up push rods onto cylinders and cleaned discs up with brake cleaning fluid and found huge improvement

          You may want to sand the brakes and discs ( with a mask on ) as they could be glazed from the heat.

          My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.

            That's probably not a bad idea ill remember to do that. My brother is an engineer for a break pad company he is going to make me some ceramic pads that should help with cooling.

              I am currently designing a fixed t-bar handlebar setup that utilizes hand lever hydraulic brakes and a choice of twist, thumb or foot pedal throttle. Will have pics and results up soon.
