    pulled the transmission out of the conquest reverse is going out ,bolts are out case spit but not coming apart ,do you have to pull the plugs out and take the clips off ,don't look like that has to happen or do you just work it apart ,any tips would me great

    You really kinda need 3 hands, remove both snap rings and shim on cover side and while prying up on the cover (evenly, or in 2 opposite positions), tap the output shaft with a soft hammer.

    You are most likely fighting the 2 large bearings on the output shaft.

      There is a procedure for removing the cover in the Argo service manual provided by Argo adventure. Just google Argo service manual. It has a step by step tear down and assembly procedures with pictures. For the transmissions without the jacking bolt holes in the cover you need to tap the input shaft using a soft rubber mallet. As mentioned by ARGOJIM, keep a close eye on the output shaft bearings to ensure the cover is coming out evenly.

        Thanks for the reply made some hardwood wedges to keep pressure on the cover while tapping on input shaft slow and steady off it came ,now I need a couple gears .
