  • Argo anchor

Recently I have started carrying a lite weight Danforth anchor in my argo.Works a treat when you need a bit of winch assistance and theres no handy trees nearby.

I've got one also. Works great in the muskeg around here.

Can one of you guys post a pic of your anchor,I would like to compare it to one that I was thinking of getting. Most times when you get stuck,it doesn't seem to take much to get yourself out,and an anchor is a great idea.

Add a piece of rope to the bottom eye to pull anchor from muskeg. They are self setting and can dig in several feet in soft ground but hold like crazy. Very hard to dig back out but pull back easily.

Thanks wern, the danforth looks to be lighter, and a little more aggressive than the one I was looking at.

I've got a Danforth like the ones in wern's link. I cut the ends off for easier storage.
