One of my favorite things to do is product testing, and now I have a great little 580 6x6 to test out.
The 2010 580 has a winch and a skidplate, that is how I purchased the unit to begin with, and it had about 42 hours on,and no tracks. The first run was on hard packed snow trails thru our swamp, around the first part of March. At this time,we were able to navigate down the trails with little effort, but did get stuck as soon as I left the trail, also did get high centered a few times.
Now, the snow has melted, and the swamp is starting to thaw out, creating ideal conditions to test out this unit with the addition of 14.5" pro series tracks. There is about 18" inches of water in the swamp now,as we just recieved about 3 inches of rain the last couple of days.Under all that water, the ground is still froze, which kept me from dropping into most of the holes all the way.
However,I am very impressed with this unit, and how it preformed under these conditions, and will take more video when it thaws out completly.
