vanguard 2 oil drain plug problem

That is the drain plug, one is also on the front, try small pipe wrench or vise grips. Once out you could use an allen headed plug or make up a remote drain.sigpic
My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.

This is exactly the way to do it. Go to a auto supplier and pick up a oil extractor. This is how I do boats cause 90% don't have a drain plug accessible. It is always best to drain from a plug rather than suck it out as this always leaves some debris behind . V twin vanny total oil is only 2 quarts . Install a pipe fitting into thread and run a length of hose with a plug ,tap , ball valve in the end of the hose . Drain into a 1-4 quart container in between chassis rails .
