Bought my 1st 6x6

So I bought my 1st 6x6 yesterday. It's a 97 argo Vanguard II with a track kit. Seems to be in pretty good shape but has what I believe to be a bad fuel pump... Guy said it was running the day before I got there but didn't start when I was there looking at it. Going to see if I can find one today and will post pics hopefully later tonight..

Long day messing with it and no luck keeping it running. With some help from another member I found out the guy that had it before me had it pretty messed up! He had an electric pump hooked up with the flow going into the tank! Can't imagine why it wouldn't start. That's just the start. Fuel line was rotten from the inside and then the carb was messed up because they used the wrong bolts to hold down the air cleaner and broke the top of the carb and the starter work. But I bought a older lawn mower with a new 18hp vanguard horizontal shaft for $300... Good spare for when the 16 dies and I can steal all the parts to make it run... Tomorrow is another day and now time to hang out with my daughter.... Sorry no pics yet.

Congrats on the machine. Your findings are typical of most used machines out there. I've never bought a used machine that didn't need some TLC, once you work the bugs out I think you will find that these are reliable little machines.

Ditto what Noel said. Congrats! And a mower with a new 18 vanguard for $300! Nice deal! I think with a little bit of time getting it going you will have a awesome machine at the end!
