2014 HDI SE. I ordered mine new and they sent it with the 8.4 (not what I ordered!) and I hated it!!! I had them change it to the standard 6.4 and like everything about it now!!! I can go 35kmh bear foot on flat road now, with Escargo tracks I get 22-25kmh. With the 8.4 I was always revved right to the max and getting nowhere. With the 6.4 I still never need to use low range even In rough or steep hilly conditions.

Same here...mine came with 8.4 which I did not order...odg sent me the 6.4 and we did the swap..I was able to drive both and the 6.4 is for me..way more than enough power.

Verify speed with GPS. My speed went from 21 to 15 between trips. Checked GPS and speed was really 21. Speedometer needed a recalibration. Don't know why but easy to recalibrate. Did your display go blank at any time? That would be an indication for a recalibration.

Awesome info Bakedalaskan! I have compared my speedo with my GPS and so far so good. I did print off the calibration info and put in my owners manual. Using that info I might play around with it when I have my tracks on and try to get the speedo and gps reading the same.
