  • Avenger Trans Question

Having a early model Avenger Iam looking at going to a 3.3 ratio, want way more grunt for tracks as well as pullin loads, whats your thoughts has anyone upgraded and what where your results.NCT

Don't have much exp. with the 3.3's but would expect to be the difference between an older g and the m and the h, I have the H in my V2 and have lived with it for 14 years ok and never let me and the kid down, but once the wife is in the machine I wish I had a G. It's nice to pass everyone sometimes yet power on a hill would help a ton.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

Yea Jim now that we are a multi AATV family I tend to use the Avenger more for work and leave the tracks on it for various duty around the farm, the tracks really suck the life out of the engine power and with a round bale on the back and drag harrows for the one horse field it just doesn't have the grunt, mind you its a expensive step but I feel worth it,gettin time to freshen up the machine as a new one isn't in the cards at the moment so I feel worth the gamble, the Attex is for scaring myself the Max IV has fit in well as a general purpose machine so the Avenger needs to be a bit more adapted to its purpose.NCT

        NCT,

I have a 2004 Avenger that I upgraded to 3.3. Love it. I used that machine last fall on my moose hunt which is a 43 mile trip into camp. The performance of the new tranny was excellent compared to previous trips with the original hi-speed. My total load back to the highway was pushing 2000 pounds. You will really appreciate the power!
