Ignition problem with conquest

Hi all,

I have a weird problem with my argo conquest 2001. When i try to start the first time everithing is okay, but if i miss the start the first attemp, nothing work anymore. Not even the fan or the oil lamp...If i wait let's say ten minutes, and i turn the key again the oil lamp will lit on and slowly turn off, no need to say that the fan isin't blowing or anything.

I check the battery and it's ok.

When it's started everithing works fine.

I was wondering if it could be the starter, but i'm not sure since it seem to turn ok the first attemp. I was thinking of a slow link to the ground, but can't find where...

I have also check the ingnition switch and even if i'm connecting directly the wire together, nothing happens...So it's not the switch.

ah and something interresting happed yesterday...I was verifing the electricity and plug just the positive wire of my booster pack to the battery...and suddently the fan begin to turn and everithing lit...I could start the argo one time again after that...

Do someone have any idea what it could be?

I had a similar problem with my conquest years ago. I would remove the battery cables and clean your connections and then tighten everything back down. Hopefully that helps.

Yep, battery terminals probably. When you connect the booster you more than likely clip on to the battery terminals on the leads, thereby bypassing a poor battery connection.

I've had this happen on MANY different types of vehicles, bad battery connections can make crazy things happen.... Hopefully it's that easy of a fix for you. Good luck.. Norm.

It was a little black wire...On the ground bar...That was touching (sometimes) the ground bar...

Ok i'm going to try to find back my ego....

Can't beleive i missed this!!! At least it's just on the forum...It's not like all the planet can read that i did not check the basic correctly right??? What's written in here stays in here right???
