  • throttle cable lubrication

Have a dumb question: would it hurt to lube the throttle cable where the small wire rope is rubbing in it's aluminum channel up by the motorcycle like throttle handle?? If so, what would you use?? I was thinking graphite would work. Saw a thread where a guy snapped his throttle cable and was thinking that might have been preventable if it was lubed once in a while. Anybody ever done this on their Argo??

I lube everything that moves Esp if you wash a lot then lube is more important. I like minimal return spring pressure on the throttle, so I keep the grip clean and lubed, I take the grip off the lever and clean and lube it, all that stuff.
