  • New project and looking for advice. Turning argo six wheeler into a trailer.

Starting this project and want to know if there is anything special to worry about?

Thinking of doing same thing. It is large enough for a great trailer. Are you using wheels or ski's? i was going with 4 wheels, i want it to float. Likely removing center axles. I want to leave the frame there and weld some angle iron to sturdy it up some. Post some pics! Wrap around back seat. It is large enough for a great trailer.

Steve, thinking on leaving all six on. Just remove everything inside. Insert plywood and maybe weld tied down brackets.
Leaving winch on front and using the tow hitch to pull it. Winch will be in the rear just in case I need a pull backwards.
      Seems simple enough...right!
I'm thinking if I make it simple and if I need to I can turn it back into a vehicle again.

            The vanguard trailer project.

After riding this 6er I really don't want to make it into a trailer but the spousal unit is holding me to my word and it needs some work ($$$)
On the bright side, I will work on the motor and the trans while they are out.
