[QUOTE=plott hound;184694]congrats on your new machine, lets see some pictures.im curious as to how much it sold for.as for track tuners, save your money and do what scott 8x8 suggests.index your tires and your good to go.

Sorry plott hound, but I have to respectfully disagree.
Indexing the tires should be done on all rigs, generally speaking, the biggest tires in the middle to aid in steering.
Indexing does not change the difference in tire size which is the main problem associated with chain wind up,as buzz detailed above.
In laymans terms,if you have just two tires, for example, and one is 6" smaller than the other, the smaller tire if both are rolled along the floor together, the smaller one will come around 6" before the big one.
Now,chain them together, and put a rubber track on them, every rotation of the tires the big one will have to "slip" 6" for every rotation,to catch up to the smaller one,and a rubber tire, and a rubber track, especially dry, doesnt really slip,it binds and creates pressure, then forceably releases it with a "pop" or bang" This action is hard on bearings, chains, axles, etc.
However, if your tires are close to the same size, this can be a non issue, and tuners may not be needed.

my tires are real close to being the same diameter foxvalley and yes I spent the money on tuners.used them on the conquest with super tracks with no issues.let me tell ya what though, theres not a worst feeling in the world then being in a 100 yd slush hole out on the lake and feeling your tires slipping in the tracks.sure makes your old spincter pucker up.if I was trail riding or riding on hard pack then the tuners would definetly be going back on.the machine feels and drives better with them but for me I want all 8 wheels churning.
