  • Bearing replacement for 1970's Argo

Hi: Does anyone know where I can get new bearings for an old 1970s Argo. It has a 7/8" shaft. The old bearings are Flanged type with eccentric locking collar. I havn't been able to source any in or near Toronto Canada. I see Prime Bearing in LosAngeles has them, but they want to charge $40 to ship 3 bearings plus erroneous $10 charge for customs. Normally when I get something shipped from the US I have them send it US mail and it is very reasonable and I don't get hit whith extra customs charges ect like UPS does.

I'm surprised that your local bearing supply house can't get them for you. I don't know of any Canadian sources but you could always search online. Places like The Bearing Store or Grainger should be able to help. A lot of members recommend Buffalo Bearings
