Hi, this summer I have been steadily replacing parts on this machine. I bought it new and over the years left it at a "friend's" house that I deer hunted with. I live in the city and he lived in the country with a lot of good deer hunting land. He said he would treat it as his own. He must have been referencing a "rented mule". I found it last year parked on the trailer at the side of his house with 2 broken winches, front and back, no more windshield or canvas top, broken rear handrail, the wrong size snowmobile belt on as a replacement for a "blown up drive belt", Argo plastic tracks worn done to the hinges from riding on asphalt roads...and so on. After a lot of repairs and replacement, I am about 80-90 % done. Last night I drove the Argo for the first time since beginning the rebuild and lost right brake completely. The machine seemed "hot" but this was the first time I had ever driven the Argo in 90 degree weather. Is the brake cooling motor on the 2000 Response supposed to be on continuously, and how do I tell if it is on? After the machine cools down, I have full right break again???? Is it possible my friend put the wrong "NON DOT 5" brake fluid in the right master cylinder???? What could cause this to happen, and what is the best solution?
Any thoughts??? (have already solved the friend issue!)
