Argo Avenger Idler shaft Sprocket

Hello Guys,

I was just wondering if it is necessary to install the set screws on the idler shaft sprockets? No where in the Argo Avenger manual shows that it is required. Thank you for your time.

Idler sprockets float as do the front axle sprockets. The sprockets have the holes because they are used on axles also.
