  • 2009 Argo Frontier - How to remove intake duct?

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I have a 2009 Argo Frontier with the 23 hp Briggs. I need to replace the head gasket for cylinder 1 but can't figure out how to remove the intake fan shroud.

Looking at the manuals I'm wondering if I have to pry the body apart to get it out or if it's supposed to come out through the grill?

I've searched the forum and googled it to no avail. Any help guys?

It's so tight working in these machines, I wish Argo made it easier to remove the intake duct.

It's really tight in there, think we removed the recoil first, removed the tbar assembly, maybe some wires/cables and did a bunch of wiggling to come out or atleast out of the way to get to shroud bolts. If there is a winch bracket that may need removal also but ours didn't have one.
It has been 5-6 years since we did it.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.
