Could use some help: 1. getting a "new" purchased Big Foot all cleaned and lubed..came to a zerk fitting on one of the inside sprocket bearings that was on the bottom, under the chains....how did onyone get any grease into that ??? (OR...did they ???) Trying to find a 90 deg. grease fitting that is smaller than the 90 I have...do they make such an animal ??? Also 2: Had to replace the light switch, so I got fancy, and installed one that had an LED in the handle to say lights are on.....Problem...the led won't come on unless the switch "neck" is mounted on metal (and grounded).Lights work OK....seems the little grounding strip that all the terminals are pushed on to is "isolated" from the engine ground.....Why is that ???? Will it be a problem now that I ran a ground wire from the ground strip behind the dash to the alternator body ?????........Hal.
I'm guessing the bearing housing is installed upside down! My fittings are all on top. The ground strip you ran is no big deal. It should not give you any trouble.
