    Guys,

    I'm looking for spacers for my centaur, I run the Adair spacers/track turners on my hdi. What do you guys run? I don't want to run the standard Argo ones.

    I have seen bora ones through Argo Adventure, has anyone tried these?

    the bolt pattern is 5 x4.5 inch same as jeep Cherokee and ford cars . ebay has man different widths and bolt patterns. a lot cheaper then any argo dealer. I run 2.5 inch on my hdi. and addair track tunners

      I'm not sure what size the studs are used for Ford cars but the Jeep spacers will use 1/2" wheel studs and you'll need 7/16" studs for the Argo rims.

          So the 1/2" studs will work without drilling the rims out? That's good to know they'll work with the Argo rims because they definitely did not work with my Max rims. I just ordered and received 6 brand new Adair axle extensions last week, they came with 7/16" studs and lug nuts installed and fit both my Argo rims and Max rims tight, no wiggle room at all. This confuses me lol

          I wonder why they would use 1/2" studs on their track tuners when their spacers use 7/16", seems silly to have to keep track of which lug nuts go on which axle.

            my track tunners are a few years old maybe they change there new ones to 7/16 studs.

              The ( coined or dimpled ) Argo wheels will accept a 1/2" stud and tapered nut just fine. 7/16" is stock on standard Argos and Max. The k-lock style wheels used on newer Max's are 7/16 and use a flat nut. Check your centaur and make sure the nuts arnt metric. For some reason I remember 12mm lug studs.

                the new style tuners have the same size studs as the welded spacers- 7/16". The old-style tuners used a typical trailer-kit style idler hub with 1/2" studs. The spindle and backer-plate had a homemade look to it. The new style has a much improved backer-plate and welded spindle. It is also available in 2.5" (same as argo factory) whereas the older tuners were 2.75" and required the other axles to use a 1/4" spacer plate.
                The new tuners are great and very durable. I have yet to break one or hear of one breaking. Argo's factory spacers are not bad. One benefit is that once assembled, the extended-lugs cannot come loose. But, as long as you torque the welded spacers sufficiently, that is not an issue either. And, the welded adair spacers are more economical and arguably stronger.
                The weak link in the use of a spacer is the hub flange and lug studs...the spacers themselves (factory or otherwise) rarely have problems.
