rc 2-50 chain

what length of chain is neede for the rear chains and the front chains and the rest of them.i can but 10 ft of chain for 50 bucks. how much roughly would i need for the 4 rear ones?

2 boxes if I remember right. Takes 4 box to do whole Argo. Download the parts manual. The description gives chain length by Pin numbers. That includes the 2 pins of the master link. Count them instead of matching the old ones as they may have had links removed. 10' box of chain should be 192 pins.

I just put two boxes of 50-2 from that same seller a couple weeks ago, and haven't had any issues from it, and he is quick to ship.

ok thanks ironman! also how much slack should be on the chain when the vehicle is jacked up and with out tensioners. and how many links do i have to take out to meet the length of the rear chains?

I have a response. I just cut the chain to the length called out in the parts manual. the tensioners are auto adjusting , but the book says for my unit that the chains have 2.5" of play .

I just replaced all the chains except the two from the trans to the idler shafts and it took 22 feet on my 1984 IC 6x6 . 50 is good price i paid 96 for a 10 foot box.
