I am sure this has been asked so i will just say sorry in advance i am new to the argo world and i have a 2001 conquest and it seems very hard to turn like i am at full throttle and pulling the lever but all it does is load up the chains and engine so is this normal and if its just my ineptitude how do i properly drive this right

start off by checking the brake pads for wear, master-cylinders for fluid (dot-5) that is not cloudy. what surface are you trying to turn on? if its asphalt.. too much friction.. grass or dirt works best. make sure the brake blower is working.. its loud so you ca hear it.

Don't try to turn from a standing stopped position, let the machine start to move a bit before applying brake to turn.
Add more throttle just before, or as you start turns.
Check your belt for wear/ Install new belt
Check Clutches, they are easy to take apart, clean, lubricate.
Clutch Springs can weaken over time, weak springs will let the clutches Engage at a lower RPM.
You may want to try a couple simple Clutch Mods. You can put a Shim into the Primary Clutch Spring Pocket (3/32" or 1/8", but no more. I just bend a welding rod into a circle that's the same diameter as the spring, and drop it in). Shimming the Primary will make the clutch engage at a higher RPM, as well as make it backshift faster. You can tighten the Secondary Spring by moving it to Hole 1 or 2. This will make the secondary upshift slower, and backshift faster (Keeps you in a lower "gear" longer)

Ok yeah everything else is mechanical sound but the clutch spring might be it cause i will sometimes be unable to shift at idle because the clutch seems to be engadged also makes a ting ting sound at top rpm

The Secondary spinning at idle is a common problem, try to lower RPM a bit. You can "Fake It", when you want to shift by pulling the choke for a second, the engine will idle down, shift it quick and push choke back in.
The Ting Ting sound could be a heat shield rattling on the Exhaust, or maybe the Secondary Clutch is touching the Idler Chain when fully open (Shim the clutch out slightly )
