  • Argo plow, winch, and other addons

Hi all, I bought a 6x6 argo this summer. I can't leave anything alone so I have been adding on since. I have never posted before but have studied other's photos to brainstorm for my designs. Thought I might try and return the favor.
First thing was a radio and charging dock

Argo hitch had to go (odd size); also added set bolt to take out all slack. I cut the receiver tube short so no one could put a normal hitch in it and overload it

Cooler rack is a necessity! I have since bought a trailer... truck fenders are tough on tires

bilge pump. You can kinda see the bracket I clamped to the pump

    bilge pump exit (cooler drain)

    Winch

Decided to make winch brackets out of square tubing. Made it in three pieces to ease installation. You can see I was doing some bearing work too.

Decided to add a pick point to the winch bracket so I would have somewhere to pull from (clevis is hanging from it)

I'm liking it. If you find yourself needing more room, the receiver style cargo carriers from Harbor Freight can be easily modified for cooler racks and cargo. I cut and welded in expanded metal on mine which gives unlimited bungee attachment area, and set it up similar to what you did, but at the top of the float ring for those steep exits. Great work.

        Snow Plow

Brackets to attach to the front bearing extensions (sorry for upside down pic)

Same brackets painted, trimmed, and mounted

Machine to plow piece. Added a spring loaded pin so can quickly change the angle. The pin has some slop in it so also added a set bolt for the 90 degree position. Used a 3 point pin as the pivot pin/lift point. Again, I decided to build the framework out of square tubing

Bottom of the piece mounted to the plow. You can see the holes drilled for changing the blade angle

Top of the piece mounted to the plow. I tried multiple springs before settling on these porch swing springs off amazon. I made the bracket with three blade tilt positions

          Plow 2

Here are the two brackets joined and mounted to the plow

Here is the plow mounted. This was one of the interim spring and turnbuckle/eye bolt combinations

This is the 6 ft KFI plow I decided to go with. thought the 81 inch plow was a little overkill.

Last step was to mount a winch control on the handle bars

Sweet mods, would you be interested in making me a set of the plow brackets? I have similar but they are straight and I can't use my tracks with them?
