Anyone built your own winch mount?

    For those who need to winch Moose, Elk, Elephant, etc., yes, the additional bracing would be called for, for normal winching, the sandwich type mount should be adequate.
    If you have ever seen what passes for an automobile hitch mount you would figure that HDPE or UHMW with a metal outer and inner plate is adequate for most applications.

          The winch plate is welded to the angle iron belly band. The back 2 holes go through the body and are attached to another piece of angle iron that is up against the body band on the inside.
