  • new argo 1 3/8" axle, offset aluminum wheels

Does anyone know what the offset is on these new aluminum beadlock wheels and also whether or not the new 1 3/8" axles are the same length as the standard 1.25" HD axles? I looked at the new splined axles/sprockets and wheels the other day and didn't even think about it until after I had left. I understand when reversed they offer clearance to run tracks, and I'm assuming it's the same clearance as the older style with 2.5" spacers added.

I am guessing argo split the difference (for example 1.25" added axle length and 1.25" wheel offset) to keep tire-to-tub clearances for non-reversed position the same as 1 1/4" axles w/o wheel spacers, and reversed-position the same as 1 1/4" axles with 2.5" spacers added?

The new axles are 1-1/4" longer and then the rim will have the offset by about the same, so no more wheel spacers. Its smooth and a nice set up

I've been told that the new 1 3/8" axles are a bit shorter than the original 1 1/4" axles. If you were to put the new aluminum beadlock rims on the original axles, the tires would stick out about 1-1.5" wider on each side. No 1 3/8" new axles available on 6x6 machines at this time. Maybe next year, special 50th anniversary model?

Can anyone confirm wether the bolt patterns were changed or not? I was told they were and that was the main reason they would not work on the older machines primarily? I am building a new 700HD since mine got burned down in the Alberta Wildfire in Fort McMurray and would really like to run these in the end. I may have to go with Douglas Wheels, in the end anyways I would prefer a steel rim over an aluminum one with beadlock anyhow. I have had too many aluminum rims blow apart from rocks wedged in between the rim and hub. Steel simply dents or gouges the rim.

Well Buzz if you read the reply from R.B.Dog and Mr. T Bear it becomes clear as mud but I would put a few bucks on your assumption.
