That sounds like a plan ! I am hoping to have her ready for this summer, i have some work to do first, id hate to get her out and have major failure right off the bat.

Curtis, as for tires i have one brand new argo tire, and a couple that arent "too bad" so im gonna probly end up sticking with them for now, im low on $ right now so im gonna buy 1 tire at a time while i am ripping her apart.

There's nothing wrong with his Runamucks if they hold air and have tread. They will work better than those Duro Mud and sand tires you mentioned a few posts earlier. The Duro and Striker style tires do not skid as well and they hardly swim in the water at all. The Runamucks will have a much smoother ride as well.

You are right there, but for me I don't use my Argo for swimming at all and my runamucks are bad so for me I would rather the duros

im going tstick with argo tires, even if i dont go swimming often , if im faced with a body of water , or if the mood strikes me i dont wanna have to think about "will my tires swim well enough to make it across" . Also, our dollar is lower than it has been in yrs. & We have to pay customs fees...So a tire that is say $70. USD after shipping , exchange rate and customs fees it ends up around $125. Can. Or more. The argo tires are $150.Can. At the dealer in. So the difference is negligible.

Our current exchange rate is $1.31. I ordered 6 brand new tires from the US a few months ago when our excange was $1.42 and the total to my house was $763 including shipping and duty, that still worked out to about 1/2 the price it would have cost me to buy 6 new tires from the Argo dealer in Stoufville.

Yeah right now for us Canadians,it isn't fit to buy stuff from the U.S becusse out dollar is so low, like he said a $70 tire will come out to be like $120 it's crazy, contacted my Argo dealer today for a new throttle cable and 2 cork gaskets along with 3 chain tensioners arms comes to be $140, like it is crazy how much Argo parts are let alone how much it costs to get them here.( my dealer is in st.johns,8 hours away)

$1,500 for 6 tires?? $250 a tire?? That seems a little steep... Sounds like your purchase from the states was the right move!

Hey bud, Do You mean what do i think of mine ? I think i would be greatful to have it on rainy days & in the winter, i took it off for now, so i can work on it. I know from experience that Its hot as hell in the summer..but, you can roll up tge sides and the top provides shade on sunny hot days. my grandfather left it on, ALL THE TIME....., even during transport, which is how i brought it home, but i dont have a truck, i have a dodge caravan... The wind hitting the windshield was like hitting a wall when towing. So i plan on keeping it down when towing. Here is a pic of it up, with & without the sides
