Man Lewis, that was pretty impressive...you really tore that up. What really impressed me was that there appeared to be some pretty deep ruts in the center of that pit, and it did not seem to affect you too much.

My next machine will be an 8-wheeler of some sort...my normal riding is pretty wide open, so the extra space and capabilities really appeals to me.
    Hammers should have warning labels.

      Thanks BC,
We really had a good time that day and hope to go riding again very soon with others.

The entry into the pit was much steeper than it looked on video and when you come up it,........ it seemed steeper still. Did you notice the spectators on the side? They watched us about the whole time we were in the mud pit.

I like to have company when i ride it makes for more fun and this is where the 8's seem to be at their best.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

i have a 2000 bigfoot 6x6 if i had the option of a 6 or 8 wheeler i would go with the 8. my kids love the machine as much as i do. with that said putting seats in the back for the kids in the 6 mod is hard. went hunting today and it loaded down. (i did bring enough things for 3 nights incase we got stranded do to weather or problems). do you or will you use it in the water (floating not touching the bottom)? if so i would get a 8. much more stable.

        just my 2 cents.

I have both, and I think it's safe to say that it totally depends on what you plan to do with it.

          6x6- More play, Less work.
          Faster
          More nimble
          less maintenance
          lighter
          Less cargo space
          lower towing ability
Much rougher ride (In the terrain that I run)

          8x8- More work, Less play
All the guys that I know with 6x6's say they will upgrade to an 8x8 next time.
All the guys that have 8x8's say they would like to have a 6x6 to play with.

I use my 8x8 way, way, way more than my 6x6, but I usually have large loads, and even with the 8x8 I still seem to be dragging a trailer most of the time.

I do have fun with the 6x6, but the 8x8 is more the machine for me.

            That it in a NutShell

Rock that's pretty much the way it is. I like the extra room and power and towing capacity, BUT there are concessions to be made. Takes more turning room due to length of vehicle,weight(1150 lbs) and speed . I really enjoy the Avenger and would not trade. I enjoy taking people riding in my machine in groups. It is always a blast. My 2 cents
