That is the replacement for the one that failed. I ordered my Argo with the alternator, so I originally paid full price. When it failed, the Argo dealer sat with me, and after a search decided the one I linked to was an exact replacement. I still have not had time to install it yet.

You could try ordering direct from the supplier listed on Amazon. Or take the part number and cross-reference it by application and then look locally. Shouldn't be a problem.

I have a 2003 Conquest with the 20hp Kawasaki, would this work for me? I want to get the alternator assembly for my Argo, but it’s discontinued. My rig can’t keep up even with winching. Any suggestions are welcome.
            Thanks

If you are looking for a durable alternator, consider the 105amp gm/Chev alternator. No heavier. One wire hook up to either the battery or a aux fuse block, then to the battery. And the bonus is very cheap to repair/rebuild. I have use them on every type of vehicle and have put them on other people's Argos. No one has ever complained about not having enough power. And they are internally regulated.

Oh I forgot to mention that the is a one wire pigtail that you can get for it. Plug it in and solder a wire to run to the battery or your aux fuse block.

This is the alternator I use.
It is also 1 wire, half the size, 40 amps (more than you need) and cheap.
