My new toy has under 15 hrs and is going out of gear. It makes no noise when this happens on a easy trail with no load. Going for the 20hr check up soon. Any one else have this issue?

I had a similar issue with mine, both when I first picked her up from the shop and after I brought her in for first maintenance. There is a cable that connects the high/low shifter on the dash to the lever that extends out of the transmission that actuates the transmission. Both times I got her back from the shop they had adjusted the cable so that she could not fully engage in low range and would most times pop back out or some times not go in at all. There is a tension adjustment in the cable behind the firewall. Adjust it so you can see the lever engage both positions and you should be good to go!

When you say it comes out of gear does the forward or reverse shifter pop back to neutral ? If so behind the shifter there is a small ball bearing and spring that keeps it in gear if you dont remove the plastic knob on your shifter when you remove the firewall cover there is a chance the ball could fall out which will sometimes make it pop into neutral

From my understanding of the setup it should be ok if the cable is slack in the high position as it looks like its brought into that position by a spring. I also see an adjustment bolt on both top and bottom of the lever on the transmission that would limit its travel. It possible thats not set correctly, but I don't know where yours is set, nor do I know enough about whats going on inside the transmission to recommend you play with that setting too much. I notice in your first post that your soon going in for your 20h maintenance so unless someone else has better advice maybe you let the pros handle it. Whatever it is I imagine it's under warranty given your only coming up on 20h.

The new admiral transmission has the detent in a caged screw in. Older ones were a seperate spring and ball inserted into a hole in the case. This threaded insert had backed off letting the forward- reverse lever to just sit free. I removed it and reinstalled with locktite tape and it's fixed. Also a bigto Argo for the beadlock wheels and new axle design. You now have 5 slots to access the outer grease zirks. You can set a lite in the wheel and see the whole outer bearing when greasing.
