My conquest runs 18" supertracks and the med geared trans, which amounts to an under powered argo. I tightened up the secondary spring to #1 hole which helps, added a spacer in the primary clutch spring, but still was not happy with the performance.
i pulled the primary apart and lightened the lead weights, from 266 gr to 235 gr which helped alot but the kawi was still lugging to much. Pulled it apart again and took off more now at 220gr. Now the clutching is perfect, engine does not lug down when turning, and can turn from a standing start.
I tweaked the govener as well to run 4000rpm, same as some avenger i have run.

Now the clutching feels the same as the Avenger series. I run in high range 90 % of the only need low for really technical spots.
I could never understand why the conquest were clutched to lug the engine, but at least the new machines are set up right.

Now if i could find a nice set of rubber or Adair tracks.

Awesome thanks for sharing your experience with the lead weights as I have been meaning to do this the next time I feel like swearing and pulling my primary off.

I left the primary on the engine, just removed the big nut 1 5/16", and the outside cover comes off with the 3 weights. The spring stays under tension inside the rest of the clutch. Makes it real simple to test and make changes as needed.
The outer cover has a 1/4" hole that i use to hold it from turning by making a rod about 12" long with a hook on both ends, one goes into the clutch and the other hooks onto the winch frame to loosen and flip it around and hook to the frame by the idler shaft when its time to tighten it up.
