  • Winch Hookup plate?

Looking to add a winch to my Argo Avenger. Question I have is, it already has the hoop hooked up from the inside to the frame as it has a brushguard. Just wondering how it will mount from the outside - I see adair agro sells the whole kit but i already have the inner hoop etc - just wondering if there will be a single bracket to mount to a winch and then to the outside of the argo/hoop plate? From what i recall many years ago the dealer said it was already setup for a winch but just wondering how it'll actually mount - assuming i'll need some sort of mount plate?

Also there are two open wire connections available in the engine compartment. Wondering if that'll be where to connect the winch to, or just wire it directly to the battery?

Any thoughts on either of these is greatly appreciated.

Since you were already on Adair Argo's site, check out their accessory manual on this page: Argo Accessory Manual | Adair Argo Sales

Look at page 622-104 and it has an exploded parts view of the winch mount. You need the backing plate that goes inside the engine compartment (#3), the mount that goes on the outside of the ATV (#1) and the quick release winch mount (#5) plus all of the hardware.

For the winch, you will have to wire it to the battery as it will draw a lot of current.
