Do you think an easy to install auto lube retrofit kit would be of interest to many people? I've had a couple of ideas I've been working on for a while now. I built a simple gravity chain luber for a friend a while back that works mint. During the last 10 min of the ride you add a few oz of lube to a couple small reservoirs with steel brake line drains that route to the top of each sprocket. Add lube and drive for 10 min while its evenly distributed over the entire chain. Simple, effective and no more pulling floor boards or lubing it section by section.

The Centaurs were made with gravity.

I think an aftermarket chain lube system would be a big seller. Especially for machines that have chains that are hard to get to.

The video was very cool! The new machines look pretty slick and there's lotsa new bells and whistles.. The LED lights and heated grips would be a good add-on for my '07.
One thing was lacking from the video, I thought... Where was the mud?? I'm not sure how handy that step would be packed in mud between the two tires.. Would it get caked? I had enough mud on it one year, it bound up between the tracks and the body enough that the tires wouldn't turn. All I could do was make right turns.. That was a fun mess to unjam... How would the vertical gun rack work with mud flying around? I've had (as I'm sure other have) the machine so covered in mud, you can't tell what color it is.. We wrap everything in the back with a tarp in an attempt to keep some of the filth off of it..

great points there glen but there isnt really another way to put the gun... forward sideways it just wont work and it would take up to much room,i guess its possible to have them turned upside down or build a box around the gun holders

I guess that I'm the only one that worries about all of that automatic oiling pooling in the bottom of the machine with the mud and sticks.

i agree as well it sems the oil dont really stick that well to the chains and makes a mess when driving and it just flicks everywhere.... i will just stick with the old spray bottle with gear oil and gas!

I realized this fall that I am going to definitely invest in an auto oiling system of some kind. We spent 3 weeks straight out in the bush and some days we put on over 10 hours, so I had to pull 300-400 lbs of gear out of the machine every day or two to lube the chains. Not counting the bearing greasing, it was a half hour of messing around I really didn't need at 11pm at remote camp in the dark every night, sometimes after setting up a tent, wood stove, and sleeping gear!

We carried rifles vertically all fall, I always kept the barrels covered, usually with the same tarp that covered the back of the unit. I did eventually get some junk in the end of one rifle and had no way to clear it since I didn't bring a solid type of cleaning rod, only a bore snake - lesson learned, but we had 3 other rifles to substitute.

This is what I use on mine.. Keeps the 2 guns dry and mud free... Fits around the back of the seat on my '07 and comes off for easy cleaning... Also has a poncho that pulls over it..
