    Thanks, I did think about that. My intention is to only use it that way for plowing only. It is an extremely easy change. Just the way the plow hooks up its a straight shot down and the line has dug into the bottom of the hawse fairlead bad when bottom spooled. It's really the only thing i'm using the winch for, if i take it to go trail riding I'll just re-spool it the correct way.

      Good point Canadian Zuk I use a warn and have had no issue with it holding the plow in the up position with the cable spooled off the top,I certainly re spool it after the plow is parked for the season the darn cable just kept fraying and breaking using it spooled off the bottom with as much as i use the plow going to try the new rope deal next year spooled off the bottom but there is so much tension on the bend to go down to the plow re spooling is easy.
