  • HDI conversion

i really want to convery over to the HDI bearing set up but the cost is holding me back. would i need to get new front bearings extensions to do the conversion or are the stalk ones fine? im just tired of replacing seals. how water tight are the new HDI bearings and flanges,do you need silicone? is there a cheaper way to do the conversion? also do they work with the older style non-step axles, and do i need to buy the actual HDI bearing or can i use my old ones?

You can buy an adaptor kit to make the hdi bearings fit up to your old style bearing extensions. Adair Argo used to make the kit
I made my own for my 99 conquest. You need to buy a new bearing also.

Curtis didn't you just replace all of your chains and bearings?

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
        Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.
