  • Argo Charger Plug Mod

Today I was able to complete the mod (really drill a hole) but it looks nice and clean and makes the Argo plug and charge which is what I wanted.

    On Board Charger:
The NOCO Genius GEN5X1 is a compact and powerful 12V 5A 1-Bank onboard marine battery charger and maintainer. The GEN5X1 is designed to safely support 12-volt lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries of multiple chemistries such as flooded, gel, maintenance-free and AGM batteries, as well as multiple battery types such as starter, deep-cycle, marine, and more. This 5-amp charger is ideal for boats, pontoons, jet skis, fishing vessels, sailboats, motorboats, and other onboard applications as it has a fully-sealed, IP68 waterproof design. A simplified mounting system allows for quick and easy installations in any direction, and has an integrated anti-vibration backing to isolate shock, vibration, and noise. The GEN5X1 also features selectable charging modes—including 12V, 12V AGM, 12V Lithium, and 12V Repair Mode—and automatically detects sulfation and acid stratification, delivering optimized performance to support different battery types and extend battery life. This fully automatic, multi-chemistry charger includes an integrated thermal sensor that adjusts output based on ambient temperature, preventing overcharging in hot climates and undercharging in cold ones. Charge batteries from as low as 1V, or for dead battery recovery, Force Mode allows manual charging from 0V, enabling you to revive batteries that most chargers cannot detect. Built for demanding environments, the GEN5X1 delivers rugged, reliable, and safe charging for marine battery applications.

    Plug:
The GCP1 is an AC Port Plug with an integrated extension cable (16-inch) that offers optimal flexibility and ease of installation. It can mount to the exterior of any vehicle to make the charging port more accessible. Equipped with heavy duty 14 AWG wire to supply power to your device, GCP1 is rated at 15 amperes and 125 volts for peak performance.

Thanks, I wanted to have a clean setup for the winter when I need to keep the battery topped up. Going to zip tie the cables to clean up the underside.
