  • New outboard attached!

Super excited to try out my new outboard this weekend. I bought a minn kota 40lb off of a local guy for pretty cheap. It didn't have a mount so I fabbed one up and actually really like how it came out. I don't know if you guys have problems with hitting props on rocks but the creek I play in has some hidden treasures just below the water line that Aren't always visible, so I figured that into my customization. Will take photos later.

The Fab work. Like i said there are lots of rocks and logs in the creek, and so with this hinge if it hits anything it just lifts up and falls right back into the push hitch. Don't know if many of you have this hitch but it sure takes a lot of strain off the body.

The whole thing is on quick connects. It literally takes 30 seconds to take the motor off after being in the water and set it in the truck so you can really hit the trails.

And finally you can just lift it up and set it ontop of the hitch for the trail ride to the lake or creek.

      derekhonda ,

Thanks for posting the pictures of the outboard motor mount that you made for your Argo . It looks good and also very practical for some one looking to build a set up like this on their amphib .

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

Works great! Don't know how practical it is this time of year as the creek really doesn't have that much water in it. Come springtime when it floods it should be fun though.
