my right side idler chain is tighter than my left idler chain even when i adjust the bolt that lowers and raises the transmission. is the chain worn or is it something else i can do?

Take the chain off and check for in and out play. Could be stretched, and a stretched chain will chew your sprockets up.

Go to a Napa, or somewhere similar, and buy a box of chain.. If you take the old one in, they' can tell you the pitch and size of it.. And most likely cut it, if you aren't set up to..

          Hello Curtis,

Your 1992 Magnum takes idler chain # 803-17.

Here is the link to the manual for your 1992 Magnum: MANUAL
