my Argo showed 16V from the dash gauge when at full throttle and back down to 14 at idle. time for a new regulator? the one on there is 12 years old and i think that is when they start to fail?

at idle it goes down to normal though. anyone know if it is the regulator for sure.just bought one for $20 -
Check battery voltage at idle and hi speed with a known accurate voltmeter. Dash gauges are sometimes off by 4 or more volts.Comment
