i cant seem to keep my sprockets from moving side to side against the frame. i forgot to line up the sprocket holes on the axles dimples but its only the rear chains that keep moving. how can i help prevent this?

curtis, if you have room on each side of the sprockets, buy some 2 piece clamping collars with the inside diameter the same as your axle o.d. clamp one on each side of the sprocket after the sprocket is lined up correctly. tighten them down and the sprocket should'nt slide. if you only have room for one clamping collar next to the sprocket, tighten it down next to the sprocket and tack weld only one half of the collar to the sprocket. then it won't slide. you can get them from mcmaster carr co. or any place online that sells sprockets, etc. good luck, johnboy va.

found them and im sad to say there expensive. anything else i can use or maybe a cheaper spot?

Simply realign the sprocket set screws with the axle holes and no worries. Of course this would require removing the chain and axle.sigpic
My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
