  • Ocean going Argo Avenger

Just purchased a 2009 Avenger that had been sitting for a couple of years. Had to tow it out to an island in Fiji. Fairly uneventful! Fuel pump and key missing along with a few other bits and pieces inc. the front floor and firewall. Have jerry rigged a fuel pump and managed to hotwire it to get it going. Bit of oil and grease here and there to see if I can get it moving. Still need to free the brakes and make a brake cable, replace 2 drive chains, find an alternator belt etc.
This forum is useful so far. Thanks in advance.

That is a useful picture. Lashed to the side of a boat ,headed backwards because the Avenger floats higher in the rear and headed to an island. Well done. Congratulations.

Haha, backwards also because there was a bolt missing in the bow which was plugged handily by a piece of mmangrove stick! Neccessity is the mother of invention!
