as some of you know i used red permanent thread locker on my bearing set screws,i was told heat will get it to loosen but i put a torch to it for a minute and it was glowing red and it still wont budge? any advice or help?

Once you heat it and then put your Allen wrench on it, tap down with a hammer on it as you attempt to break it free. The impact should help break the thread lock. In future I would recommend using the medium strength loctite.☺

When threadlock dries it turns from a liquid to a crystalline solid. Heating it makes it brittle. Dumb as it may sound, loosening it is NOT the way to free it. First you tighten it to smash those crystals in the spaces between the threads. Then you can go ahead and turn the fastener counter (anti) clockwise to loosen.

Isn't that exactly what you wanted when you used 'permanent' thread lock?

Put the heat to it again and immediately tighten it, then loosen. That has always worked for me.
