Hi guys, just bought my first Argo, a 2009 avenger 8x8 and want to put a windshield on it. Needless to say I was floored by the prices I see out there, where is the cheapest place to buy accessories? By the way I'm from NJ. Thanks John

if you have the inclination john, you can make one out of 3/8'' thick clear ''lexan'' ( not plexiglass) and a simple metal or wood frame. a couple of hinges and braces will let you fold it up and down. lowes sells the lexan sheets. this is a pretty cheap way to go. good luck.....johnboy va.

Cheapest I have found is a small dealer in New England. If you PM me I'll give you the info.

if you make one, make it high enough that the top frame piece is not at your eye level. j.b.

Thanks I hope someone will measure theirs and give me as many dimensions as they can. It's not like I can go to a dealer and measure one! Ha ha. When I brought mine home on Sunday and drove it straight into the river I live on, all the kayakers thought I was nuts or drunk! Nobody has ever seen or heard of one around here.

johnj....another option is if you have a auto salvage yard near you, you may be able to find a small windshield like out of a v.w. or such that would be real close to the right size. then make a frame around it , add hinges and 2 support bars to hold it up. a couple of large rubber stoppers from the hardware store would be good to rest the shield on when folded down. keep at it ...... johnboy va. by the way, where do you live ?

I live in Nj, but my camp in Maine is where I will use most, deer hunting. I have been looking at truck cap rear windows to use. They already have frame.
