  • Sparks plugs.

    Just took off my spark plugs one look good and the other one is really black to rich to poor ????? what can i do. By the way my spark plus are champion platinum 3071, does it exist another one?bougie1.jpgbougie.jpg

    I suggest that you do a compression test and compare both cylinder readings.

      You may want to verify that they are the correct plug for your engine.

      Looks like it is running a little rich. As mentioned above check the compression. Carb mixture may also need adjusting.

          well change spark plug and ran it for couples hours still the same so did a compression test both 150, air filter is clean buy the way its brand new argo it just went on maintenance the mecanic dont know too. Any others ideas.

            assuming you did the compression test correctly, just reset your carb to factory specs. probably wont help but just make sure the mixtures arent messed up. i think the diff colors are normal though. i read somewhere twins run hotter on one side and you can see the plug on the right has 2 threads black and the left barley has 1 thread burnt or black. like i said could be mixture problem as well!

                lightly seat needles and turn out 2 and 1/2 turns
