  • New to me 8 wheel argo

So I'm pretty new to the argo world. I have a 8x8 argo with a 17hp Kohler engine in it. I want to change out the chains on it but not sure what type of chain I need. Also it is a double roller chain needed. Also I'm trying to figure out the exact year of it. Any help and tips would be great! Thanks in advance.

Post a picture or two. I am sure someone here can identify it.

anywhere from 81 to 86 or 85 going by engine type! you need 50-2 chain diamond is expensive and high quality chain. you can buy from Argo or buy in bulk at cut chain yourself! send a pic or two

Just a tad. Looking to figure out where the cheapest place would be to be new chain in Canada.

When I did mine, I went to Napa and bought Tsubaki roller chain. Bought a couple boxes of each and I think I had to go back for one more... I think (but don't quote me) the box was 10' of chain was about $120?

Yes. Single 50 Amazon may have double as well.
The NAPA stores I have contacted here in Canada dont carry chain.

I have a couple places I can call today. There is a tool rental place I am going to be calling. Also found a place online you can get 50' for $220.

So another question. on the parts manual it says for mid chain it would be rc50x2x70p. would the 70 be the amount of links or would that be how many inches it would be.
