  • Can someone take a photo of their plow mounts?

Hey guys. I have been tossing the idea of putting a plow on my 03 bigfoot. I found a cheap $200 next to brand new plow that is one of those knock-offs for like a jeep or light duty truck. I think it is 6 feet wide and would like to give it a shot. I'm handy enough to fab up a bracket, just don't know what it should look like.

I've done some research on the forum here, looks like ill need to get some longer bolts for my bearing extenders, and then I think that is where I will mount the bracket (is that correct?)

Anyways if someone could take a picture or two of their factory mount set up or even a custom made one I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

I took some pic. of mine. It's in the gallery under cougar plow. I got some stock mounts that fit on mine conquest and fabed the plow off my old Rhino. It works great. If you need more pics. let me know. Cougar

Hey cougar thanks for the pictures. What I am really interested in is finding a picture of how the actual plow "mount" attaches to the argo bearing extender. I didn't see any of those pictures on here anywhere. Any trouble for you next time you got the front wheel off to snap a picture of that mount? Thanks!

The axle extension housings are different but that's the general idea.

Wonderful! Thanks a million! And now for a dumb question, I'm guessing you had to buy 6 longer bolts roughly 3/8" longer (or a half inch longer is probably all they make) What kind of grade do they need to be or are they really not supporting that much weight? (sorry, no physics major here)

                  bolt hardness

i got them from a tractor dealer i think they are the same hardness as whats was in there origionally i think grade 5.. they are about 1/2 '' longer.Argo don't recomend riding around with them on your machine when not in use. I know it makes it harder to get out of the river on some of the sand bars harder because they dig in.

                    Plow Mounts

I got a set for a Avenger there not the same as the ones on my conquest. If they will work on yours I'll sell them cheap. I take 25.00 for them , I gave 30.00 for them. Let me know. Cougar

Wait a sec. The avenger and frontier axle extension housings are different than bigfoot, conquest, response, etc. Mounts for an avenger won't fit your bigfoot.

yeah but i figure with a cut off wheel i could shape it to fit around the bearing extender. Is it atleast close or are the holes off?
