Just purchased a used Argo. It takes a bit for my Argo to warm up. When the engine is warming up it will die if I give it gas. Is this normal for these machines? No trouble codes pull. Once it warms up it runs fine. Should I be worried?

My 2016 EFI cranks a bit but always starts on the 2nd turn of the key.
I don’t let crank long though... maybe 3 seconds tops. Warms up enough to crank the throttle in about 15-20 seconds.
I keep it on a solar Battery Tender 24/7 too.
Cranks over nice n fast!

I'd suggest starting with some of the simple things. If it were me I'd put new spark plugs in it first. Second, check the air filter for cleanliness and maybe just replace them if you are not sure. This is a long shot but just for kicks I'd unhook the battery for 10 minutes so the adaptive memory in the ECU goes back to the factory settings. I think the memory is more for adjustments to injection & spark timing at running conditions and not at idle or start up.
Any more description on what it does might help. Does it just flat out die really fast or sputter a bit as it quits?

sounds normal to me, got a friend with a Polaris sportsman quad, its like 2015 (im pretty sure its efi but i know nothing about them) and during ice fishing he has to let it warm up for a while otherwise if he tries to move it shuts down right away. My 09 canam does not do this but i guess all machines are different, i wouldn't worry about it. some extra warm up for a motor is a good thing anyways. You dont have some thick summer oil in it or something though?

With EFI systems in general you should be able to move on out as soon as it starts, most systems automatically enrich the mixture until the engine is warmed up, one of the beauties of an EFI system since it is all done automatically and you don't have to mess with a choke as on a carb system. As others have said, it is always a good idea to let it warm up before putting a large load on the engine, but like with cars you should be able to give it part throttle and help it warm up by driving it lightly with small throttle inputs until it is up to operating temperature. Sounds like there is something not quite right, a small thing most likely since it runs OK when warmed up. I think if you go by AlaskaGrizzly's advice that would be a good place to start.
