mine does the same thing except the red oil light stays on. 2017 frontier st. I am using the recommended kohler oil for air cooled engines.

My 2016 frontier Scout is doing the same...checked both engine and tranny and all is good.
I’m still on the break-in oil at just over 10 hours. I wonder if it’s ok to change the oil to synthetic now?
        Have to check the manual...

I hear you are better to use an oil for air cooled engines. synthetic oil does not dissipate heat like an oil designed to run in air cooled engines. that said i ran synthetic in my briggs vanguard for 2500 hours and no problems. I am using the kohler air cooled engine oil now.

I had this happen on my 2016 700HD and I found the wire to the oil sensor to be loose tightened it up and good to go.

Great! Would you be able to point out the location of the sensor wire?
Lots of wires going every which way in there. My factory fog lights stopped working and by chance I also found a loose wire that fixed it....seems as though Mother Argo doesn’t really care too much about loose wires at assembly time...

http://www.steam-brite.com/equipment...e%20manual.pdf I found an engine manual on line. Page 26 part D should have a wire going to it.

Thank you. That engine is different than my Kohler...I’ll have to find an engine manual for mine.
