  • New owner of a model year 2000 argo vanguard 2

Just wanted to introduce myself, im from upstate ny & just bought my 1st argo today. Im sure i will have many questions but for now my main objective is to get more information as to how the plow would mount on my machine. I dont have a plow but im a welder by trade & i want to make whats neccesary to mount a plow. Are there any good pictures, manuals that show how the argo plow (or off brand) plows were mounted? It would be nice to know how heavy they were as well. Any help in getting me closer to this goal is much appreciated.

Congrats on the new toy! From what I have seen (YouTube video) the plow mounts with steel plates that fit over the front hubs.
If you google Argo plow installation something of interest might come up.

Ive had some time to scour the internet & look over some things & actually found a manual for a plow for my machine. Looks like i can order the axle extentions which would be the harder part for me to fabricate with the tooling i have available to me so now i need to get measurements & material thicknesses if someone has the same machine with a plow on theirs. If theres someone out here that wouldnt have a problem with talking with me & taking some measurements for me id really appreciate that. Does anyone know the weight of this set up? I couldnt find that information anywhere yet either. I have numerous plow blades here that i can use but i dont want to be too heavy, nor do i want to be too lightweight either. Tyvm in advance to anyone able to help out.

Axle extensions? What would be the need? Got a link to what you found? New to this here too. Mine has hub extensions to allow clearance for the wider tracks it is wearing. Is that the same thing? Paul
