  • I guess it's go time

Just purchased a 8I/C...obviously needs a few things. So here come the questions. Brakes are not great, I've used the search function but still curious, on hydraulic brakes should I see pad movement? Engine off, the rubber on the master cylinder moves but pads don't appear to. Also is there any reason to have an overflow tube on the fuel line? It was pushing out a noticeable amount. Not sure if I plug it or route it out of the way. Thanks folks.

Great on the I/c deal, the brakes sound as if they need bled, use DOT5 brake fluid, open bleeders on caliper and let it run til it comes out a nice blueish purple. You may need to back off plungers to allow fluid to run free and then adjust so you can just spin the plungers with your fingers.

The early Argo's ( pre say 93ish) were notorious for spitting fuel out of the vented caps, later models used a hose that ran out of the back from the steel neck, which yours won't have, to rear of body. Try a new vented cap as it should help, gaskets wear out and vents clog.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.
