  • HELLO ALL

NEW to the board as well as 8 wheel cruising.
Just got myself an argo 8 wheeler I think its an 89 with a 16hp briggs engine , its not in bad shape the old owner had built a fishing hut on top of it ( thats gone ). Anyway i have a question hoping that some one can help me with, currently the left brake is very sloppy and you have to yank back so hard its uncomfortable to drive as well it pulls a lot to the right when driving at speed . does anyone have a picture of what mechanical brakes are suppose to be set up like ( clearence etc) and suggestions on repapirs maintenace etc.
    Thanks

OH , i got this machine for work in the bush ,but i find my self playing with it a lot

Hi, I found my 87 argo manual at this site:
      Argo part manuals

I had the same problem, by following the instruction in the user manual to setup the brakes and ajust the break pads, a couple of turn of the knots and I was turning on a dime!!

It has many models and is great to troubleshoot and do maintenance on the Argo!

      Good luck
